Biography

Thomas Coffey is a Christchurch based singer/songwriter who has been performing in and out of bands and releasing solo material since his late teens.

Back then his life, friends, and his musical training background at school, were the inspiration for his first early songs. Over the years these numbers would become well known in the amateur bar scene in Christchurch. This all culminated in 2005 with the release of Tom's debut EP 'Tell Your Friends.'

Since then Thomas has continued to release music and gig regularly, all the while having an interesting and varied career in mixed media. To date he has made four music videos for selected Tell Your Friends songs, performed in front of thousands of TV viewers at Super 14 rugby fixture, and has made several live radio appearances because of his contacts at More and Kiwi FM and Australia's Today Show.

Thomas' sound can be described as many things, but probably most aptly indie/folk/pop when you see him in a heartfelt solo set or Rock and Roll if you're lucky enough to see him at full tilt with a full band.

Thomas currently lives in Christchurch as has recently been offed a very promising record deal... So go ahead, "Tell Your Friends".
